I have read an article(maybe 2) in recent months. Nothing bad was said. It is what it is. Good Suzuki quality. I think we all agree though that for the price difference, the Savage would be better for your wife.
However I could see if your daughter is the same size and build as my 16 year old, you would want something smaller. My daugther does not have interest in a real bike though and a Savage would be too big for her.
As an aside, I bought my daugther a Honda Elite 80. It only goes 45 mph but she has used it every day for commuting to school. Where we live it is perfect. I don't understand why more kids don't have them. I think she has put more mileage on her used scooter than I have put on the Savage.
Late breaking news... I just asked Katie to get on the Savage. She felt the size was fine and it seemed just a little heavy compared to her light scooter. She did not think it was heavy. So...
Get a couple more Savages..
